WHAT WE HAVE DONE

We built a multi-purpose room for the day center “Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza” [Our Lady of Hope] .

WHY

“Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza” day center provides a space for support for children and teenagers from 5 to 15 years old. The institution is located in Villa Jardín La Florida, Quilmes, in the province of Buenos Aires. The complete lack of accompaniment and strengthening of childhood proposals in these marginal zones makes this cultural space a cornerstone for the development of opportunities. This space is located in a poorly constructed site with no sanitary facility nor running water.  Due to the groundwater high levels, the site is exposed to constant flooding; in addition to this, the need to receive more boys and girls exceeds the current physical space of the center.

WITH THIS PROJECT WE:

  • Expanded the cultural offer of the daycare center.
  • Strengthened school experiences for children and teenagers of the neighborhood.
  • Provided a safe environment for developing activities.
