What we have done
We built an indoor structure of 120m2 (kitchen, restrooms and multipurpose space) using high quality installations and finishings. The aim of this space is to provide a gathering place and training courses which cover various options for the neighbourhood.
Some of the activities available at the centre are: psychological care, pharmacy, music and computing lessons, knitting workshops, cooking and baking, nutrition courses for mothers, sports, and meetings of general interest.
Why
Ramón Carrillo is a vulnerable district located in the south of the province of Buenos Aires which needed a community use space to carry out neighbourhood activities.
Whit this project we
-
Strengthened community ties.
-
Developed a cultural and trade offer for neighbours.
-
Promoted new spaces, activities and knowledge within the neighbourhood.
-
Integrated the work of neighbours, professionals and volunteers.
