What we have done
Together with the local community, we have built a room that is currently being used as the main venue for community gatherings and multiple neighborhood activities.
Why
Obispo Angelelli neighborhood is part of a group of large suburban neighborhoods, termed “neighborhood cities”, resulting from a process of relocation of informal settlements. Located 10 km south of downtown Córdoba City, this area includes a space donated by Cooperativa de Carreros, used for a variety of community activities such as providing educational support and literacy and handing out meals and a glass of milk, all in one large room with infrastructure deficiencies.
With this project we
-
Promoted community ties by improving the conditions of the space used as a gathering place.
-
Fostered the development of new activities in the community room.
-
Encouraged voluntary service with EWB-Ar in Córdoba City.
